#3183 Final 10! We're almost into single digits, how exciting is that? icon_ha

So with that in mind, what's the plan for you next? Are you going to shake things up any time soon? Do you think anyone else will if you don't?

What do you make of the way the votes fell tonight? Do you know where everyone voted?

Did your trust or respect for anyone rise or fall after that tribal?

How much would you say Trish leaving will affect your game moving forward?

And also, how do you feel about your game as it stands now? Do you feel confident in how you've been playing or do you feel like you have some more moves to make before you can deserve a win? How do you think the other players perceive you?

You've been voting in the minority for the past couple rounds now, do you have a plan in mind to change that?

I honestly can't believe I'm still here.

I think Lindsey needs to play her idol this round. That's our move. Steve approached me after results about him and Andrea flipping to vote out Spencer, but I don't buy it. I do think there could be traction with the idea of playing the "you can't all win" card with Nick and Andrea. Like, they will need to move on one another eventually.
What do you make of the way the votes fell tonight? Do you know where everyone voted?
I was surprised they went after Trish, but it made sense. Challenge threat, kind of sneaky, possible idol? I think I know where everyone voted but I'm probably wrong. Me, Lindsey, Tai, Trish vote Spencer. Aubry votes Tai. The rest vote Trish.
Did your trust or respect for anyone rise or fall after that tribal?
I thought it was cool of Aubry to give up her idol even though it didn't work.

Oh I have no chance of winning right now. If I can hang in long enough for something to go my way, I'm confident in my ability to turn that perception around and I'm confident I can deliver at FTC. I think I'm perceived as a goat at this point.

I mean, get Steve to flip? Same as last time? Or Lindsey sacks up and plays her idol. If we go down 6-3 it's useless other than to save herself.

#3199 Hi LJ, just asking some follow up questions, You're saying you're trying to get Steve to flip and that he's offered up himself and Andrea to help you and yet you say you're still on the wrong side of the votes. What about Steve makes you put all your hopes on him? What is it about the other players that you can't have them play ball with you?

I wouldn't say Steve is ALL my hopes, but of that whole group he is the only one that I regularly talk to. Every time I try to talk to the others it's nothing but lies about TC and it just gets old. Like, I like Andrea and all, but talking to her about anything game related has been pointless so far. Same with Nick, Natalie, and Morgan. Spencer I just don't trust and haven't since the minute the game started.

This is probably the round to push them on taking advantage of us before it's too late though. I'll reach out to Andrea and Nick and see if they just want to waste my time again or if there is a chance for something constructive.

I think what is frustrating about them is that so far they have insisted on lying about everything even when it is unnecessary. If Andrea, for example, had at any point been like, "hey I don't think it's going to work out for us to work together this round, but you never know what could happen down the road" instead of giving me "oh I heard Morgan" I would be 1,000 times more likely to A) vote for her in the end and B) be able to take her seriously as someone who is willing to make a move.

#3208 Do you feel like they owe you the truth at all? How honest do you feel Steve has been to you, considering you talk to him the most out of the opposing alliance?

from your vantage point, what are the relationships like between the majority people?

No they don't owe me anything, I just think it's shortsighted of them to lie when they don't need to. It will hurt them with jurors and it will hurt them in a situation like this. Say they actually do want to flip and vote with us, my immediate reaction is that they are just lying again and then you get things like Lindsey and I discussing whether or not we should go to Spencer or Nick with it.

I'm also just cranky.

Steve has been just as dishonest as anyone. Just this last round he told me the vote was between Tai and Lindsey. I don't like him because I think he is more honest or anything, I just think he's funny. He also is the only one who has shown any signs in conversation with me of thinking about when to make his move. The rest just try to play like they are out of the loop.

Relationships in that group - Trish and Tai both said that it was Andrea, Nick, and Spencer running things. That would make sense with some of Steve's comments tonight. He seemed like he wanted to do Spencer first, then Natalie, then Andrea. He said Nick was "dumb" and not as big a threat as the others.

Maybe that actually means he's with Nick and reaching out on his behalf?

#3212 Putting aside being voted off, what's your biggest fear going into this next round?

Also, do you mind telling us a little bit about yourself on a personal level? What's been your relationship like with the game of Survivor that it's driven you to actually play a game like this?

I think biggest fear would probably be just continuing down this path of like, NOTHING working and the numbers just keep dwindling and it gets to the point where I have no room to do anything but they don't vote me out because they think they can beat me in the end. Not that I would WANT to be voted out, but it would be kind of a lose-lose situation you know? It would also just be super awkward because I don't really have any kind of personal relationship with any of them whereas I talk to Lindsey and Aubry all the time, so it would be cool if I could go to the end with them.

So I don't really watch the show anymore. I watched it from the first season until I want to say Panama. I didn't like the outcast twist, the returning players in All Stars or Guatemala, or the move to casting mostly models and recruits so I kind of drifted away from. I like playing Survivor online mostly for the challenges and the strategy of it. As you can probably tell, I'm not a huge fan of the social side of it. Not that I don't like talking to people, I just have a lot going on so it's hard for me to commit hours of time to just chit chatting. Like Andrea said something about helping Tai with his english paper. Yeah, I don't have time for that. I was drawn to Stranded mainly for the live challenges, and thinking the fast pace would mean talk would have to be centered more around strategy. I think what really set me back was my most inactive period came right around the merge so even though I'm kind of back to my regular pre-merge activity level, those alliances and stuff are already formed.

#3221 Is it fair to say that you feel like it's too late to form any strong social bonds at this point?

You say that you talk to Lindsey and Aubry all the time, aside from strategy, what do you guys talk about with them?

I mean it's never too late. Even if I get voted out tonight maybe me and Natalie will become best friends after the game.

Aubry likes to talk about TV shows that she's watching.

Lindsey likes to talk about whether or not Jesus Christ is my self-conscience.

Are you religious, LJ?
Not particularly, and the impression that I've gotten from Lindsey is that she is aggressively NON-religious.

Can I ask you what your day to day life is like outside the game?
Well, most of my day is spent at work, or commuting to work. Then I watch my daughter until my wife gets home. Then I make dinner / watch like one episode of a TV show I care about / go to bed.

Which is why it can be hard for me to stay connected with people sometimes! Like for example, I'm trying to talk to Andrea right now, and my daughter keeps freaking out because The Secret Life of Pets has "scary parts."

Or last night I was trying to make dinner during the 15 minutes we had for TC.

Obviously not an excuse or anyone's fault but my own, but it does add a certain degree of difficulty.

Yeah my wife would probably love a month or two to herself.

She'd only go for it if I had the vacation time to cover it though. She wouldn't be on board if I had to quit my job or something like that.

What's your job?
I do park maintenance. The park I work at is about 12,000 acres. It's a lot of mowing, and like, trail repairs, and we do a lot of tree work. But then there is day to day stuff too like we have campgrounds, picnic areas, and equestrian stuff. There's only two of us and it's out in the middle of nowhere, so it's kind of a generalist thing rather than specialized work. We're usually pretty much on our own to fix things or get anything done. It's a blessing and a curse. It's nice because we have a lot less oversight than the more urban parks, but a lot less support and resources.

I like that I never really know what I'm going to be doing on a given day.
